Surface finshes

Technological advances now make it possible to provide tiles with surface finishes. The advantages range from further facilitation of the already simple cleaning process, through to anti-bacterial action.

Extrusion refers to a forming process in which the raw material is pressed. The resulting product is called a slab in trade language.

Dry pressed refers to the forming process in which a moist, dough-like strand of raw material is pressed in dry state with high pressure. The resulting product is called a tile in trade language.
