10 Steps to Beautiful Tiles
Step 1:
In our warehouse, we prepare approx. 375 tonnes of raw materials for production every day. Nine employees work in two shifts, weighing the materials, mixing the materials and inspecting the quality of the ceramic mass.
Step 2:
We grind the raw materials for ten hours in our tumbling mills. They are then mixed with additional materials and pumped into large storage containers. This is also where fine screening takes place.
Step 3:
The granulate gained from the raw materials is then cleaned at 550°C in spray dryers.
Step 4:
For the tile surfaces, we manufacture approx. 30 tonnes of glaze and engobe in our mills everyday.
Step 5:
We press the ceramic mass with 190 bar of pressure and leave to dry.
Step 6:
The tiles are then cleaned and deburred, before we glaze them in our glazing facility. Decoration is added using a modern roll-print or roto-colour procedure.
Step 7:
We fire the tiles at over 1,100 °C in large roller kilns and then store them in B & T boxes.
Step 8:
The finished tiles are sorted using cameras and the production quality is checked. The tiles are then automatically stacked on pallets and packaged. Each pallet is subsequently subject to out stringent quality control.
Step 9:
Our logistics partner "Ofkon" stores the completely packaged tiles in warehouses with an area of 12,000 square meters.
Step 10:
From the warehouse, via the wholesale retailer to the end-users in their homes: our tiles finally arrive where they belong – in our customers' bathrooms.
